This conversation from AcroChats is lively and has interesting bits.
Several folks have recently expressed discomfort at unwanted contact in the acro scene. With Divine Play coming up soon, the suggestion is to encourage and normalize shouting "Don't touch me, asshole!" when assaulted with an unwanted hug. If just a few people were to take such a zero-tolerance policy in the small space of the festival, it would not be long before everyone developed better habits of consent. Anyone want a T-shirt?
Realistically, that's unlikely to happen. People go to have a good time; it is less stress inducing to put up with it than to make an issue out of it with people who have already demonstrated poor boundaries and a lack of sensitivity.
